One of the many cobbled lane-ways in the pretty hill-top village of Beynac
An extremely steep 150 metre walk from Beynac Castle at the top
takes you down to the banks of the Dordogne River below - a bit scary in parts but
well worth the effort with picture postcard views around every turn.
Beynac is located in the Dordogne area
and is listed as one of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France"
It well deserves this title

Your photos of France both remind me of my travels to France and inspire me to take better photos the next trip to France. I can see, smell, feel, and hear France in your beautiful images. They transport me back to the very same places that I traveled in France.
I am a new follower of your site and look forward to more beautiful reminders of la belle France.

Often, when I see what France has to offer, I ask myself, why we go abroad for holidays?

Fabulous photos of breathtaking landscape! I’d like to walk on the lovely cobble-stoned path, overlooking the fields below and expecting the scenery which appears at every turn in person.

The first photo looks like an artist's interpretation rather than a photo. Just gorgeous, and I need to put Beynac on my "list."
