Chicken in Paris is not any old chicken
Parisians are very particular about where and how their chickens are grown
Of a week-end you find them lined up to purchase
poulet fermier or poulet traditionnel with patates.
Many times I have purchased the beautiful yellow
grain fed poulet-fermier from this little shop and have not been disappointed
they pack it neatly into a box surrounded by crisp roast potatoes wedges.
Take-away food of the very best quality.

Not sure what we buy here is as good as you get in Paris, but I mostly buy the corn fed chicken because they are cheaper here! Take care Diane
Looks like a great place, wouldn't mind shopping there myself! Terrific "people" capture, too, Dianne! Have a great week!
Great post!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I wish we could buy these chicken here in Sweden too.

I love how she is dressed for picking up a bit of takeaway. Sadly you don't see that here. And wonderful how they can make the humble chicken and spuds magnificent. Another thing to try...
I have picked up the same in my little shops at Place Maubert. Love the colors in this photo and even have an orange coat!

Thanks for this friendly little visit to France! I enjoy the photo, and chicken sounds mouthwatering good.
My contribution to Our World Tues. this week was "French" by way of the French Quarter, New Orleans.
What a wonderful world!
Hi Dianne, love the photo. I understand the menu well, as I was born and raised, and still live, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where the main language is French. Although my mother tongue is English, I am fluent in French. That lady in orange looks nice...and intrigued by someone or something.
Yum. My stomach is growling for poulet roti. And did you have to mention the potatoes?
Ha! That's something 100% french! I can see it everywhere in France!
